October 9, 2015 release notes

New

  • The Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2015 On-Premise integration is now available. Highlights of the integration include the following:

    • Link an Aha! product with a TFS project and area

    • Send Aha! Features and Requirements including name, description, and attachments for each

    • Map Aha! Features and Requirements to any TFS workitemtype

    • Map TFS states to Aha! workflow statuses

    • Set up a subscription in TFS for Aha! to receive updates about name, description, and status changes

    • Add default feature fields and values to populate TFS fields requiring values that are irrelevant to Aha! and product management.

Improvements

  • The Kanban board found under Features - Workflow has new view options for showing work totals in points or time for each workflow status column and user providing a summary of the overall workload and progress. The View dropdown includes the following checkbox options.

    • Show work estimate - represents the total of features estimates within each column.

    • Show work remaining - represents the work estimate minus the work done for all features in each column.

    • Show work done - represents tracked work completed across all features in the column.

    • Show work per user - appears to the right of each user's name and displays the total work estimate across all columns for each user.

      • Note: The Features - Workflow view and work totals only appears if the Workflow screen and "Enable capacity planning and time tracking" settings have been enabled in the Product settings. The default unit for planning is set to either time or points in Product settings as well.

  • Strategy - Goals and Strategy - Initiatives pages have been redesigned for a more consistent look and feel with recent Strategy updates in the Strategy - Overview page.

  • The Microsoft Visual Studio Online (VSO) integration has been updated to work in the same manner as the Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) On-Premise version. This introduces the following improvements:

    • Map Aha! Features and Requirements to any TFS workitemtype

    • Add default feature fields and values to populate VSO fields requiring values that are irrelevant to Aha! and product management.

  • A new Initiative based example report called "Initiative by product and goal" was added to the Reports - Timeline view.

  • Merged ideas are now hidden and will no longer appear in the different report views.
