Last week, we announced a new Governance page in Aha! Builder. It enables you to establish strong guardrails for coding with AI — including default rules for new builds, specialized templates, and centralized monitoring — so every prototype and application meets company standards.
A key part of this is running security and privacy reviews. Aha! Builder includes eight built-in reports to help you quickly validate your prototype or application. Run a review before deployment, and Elle (the AI assistant) assesses your application against the selected criteria and returns an organized summary of results with an overall score.
If the review surfaces issues, ask Elle to implement the suggested improvements. Then rerun the review to confirm your score improved. You can run reviews on demand and repeat them whenever your application evolves, so your assessments stay current throughout development. When you are ready to share, export the report as a PDF and send it directly to your IT or compliance team.

Check secure-by-design practices: Review whether your application's design follows established security standards.
Review against OWASP Top 10: Test your application against the most widely recognized framework for critical web application security vulnerabilities.
Scan code and dependencies for vulnerabilities: Identify known vulnerabilities in your code and third-party dependencies before they reach production.
Assess PII handling and privacy compliance: Review how your application manages personally identifiable information and evaluate readiness against GDPR, CCPA, and cookie usage requirements.
Export findings as a report: Generate a detailed report of your results and share it with IT or compliance teams to support internal governance conversations.
These built-in reviews help teams move faster with a clear record of what was checked before release. From the Governance page, governance administrators can see the last time each application ran a review and whether it passed. This makes it easy to confirm that every deployed application meets your organization's requirements.

How to get started
Create a prototype or application in Aha! Builder.
Go to Documents Security or Documents Privacy.
Click Run review or Repeat review if one has already been completed.
Once the review is complete, click View report to review the findings.
Use the more options button (...) to export the report to share results with internal stakeholders.
Pro tip: Paste findings from your report directly into a conversation with Elle to implement the suggested improvements — then rerun the review to see how your score changes.
