Introducing the Aha! software MCP server

by Claire George

Aha! software is where your product planning and delivery come together. Elle, the powerful AI assistant, is the perfect tool to search, summarize, and act on product data across the Aha! suite. You might also spend time in other AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot — drafting text and conducting basic research. You want access to your product strategy and planning information wherever you work.

Use the Aha! software Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to bring product data into your preferred AI tool.

Power your AI tools with actual product data

Your source of truth for product planning is Aha! software. It is where you capture customer feedback, prioritize your roadmap, define features, manage releases, and track progress across teams — all connected through the Aha! data model.

With Elle, the built-in AI assistant, you can already search, summarize, and act on that data from inside the product suite. The new Aha! MCP server extends that access to your external AI tools. It acts as a secure bridge between your Aha! account and tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot, allowing you to work with your product data using natural language. Access information, analyze trends, draft documents, and keep records up to date.

Once connected, your AI tools can retrieve records — initiatives, features, requirements, and more — and use them as context for any prompt. You can also create and update records from your AI tool by enabling edit access in your account's AI controls settings. (Records cannot be deleted through the MCP server.)

Here are a few ways to use it:

  • Analyze customer feedback: Review recent ideas and interview insights for specific topics or themes.

  • Check roadmap status: Find out a feature's status or summarize progress across initiatives.

  • Summarize product updates: Review what shipped in a recent release or pull together last week's progress ahead of a meeting.

  • Add ideas: Capture new concepts, features, or notes and keep records up to date.

When your AI tool has access to your product data, every prompt produces output that is specific to your work.

The Aha! MCP server is now available to owners and contributors across the Aha! suite. It is one of many ways Aha! software helps product teams thrive in an AI-driven future. Schedule a demo with our customer success team to see how Aha! can help your team build better products with AI.
