The Top 7 New Aha! Features Launched in Q3 2015

by Keith Brown

A lot has happened since we sent out our last quarterly update in July. It certainly has been a busy summer for the team. We are pleased to announce another quarter of tremendous growth in all areas of the business.

Aha! now proudly serves more than 30,000 users in many of the world’s best known Web and technology companies. We have also added several new Aha! team members, and are still looking for more talented Rails Developers, Marketers, and Customer Success Managers who want to work from anywhere in the U.S. and join one of Silicon Valley’s fastest-growing SaaS companies.

And more happy users means more great ideas. We love hearing your feedback on how to improve Aha! — and we quickly prioritized and shipped the best ones on our own roadmap throughout this past quarter. Here are a few of our favorites:

Business Model Builder The Aha! Business Model Builder is fundamental to building products that matter. It makes the complex easy by giving you a canvas to set your own strategy and describe the details of your unique business model. Aha! enables companies to create a red thread of strategy through the roadmapping process by linking strategic initiatives to releases and features. This makes it easy to align strategy across a single product or an entire product portfolio.

Strategy Roadmap Our new Strategy Roadmap makes it easy to build a roadmap based on initiatives. If you already have those initiatives in Aha! then you can build your product roadmap in seconds. Select the initiatives that you want to display from the Initiatives drop-down menu; they will display on your roadmap automatically.

Aha! Reports Aha! Reports includes an entirely new engine for creating list and pivot tables. The best part? This engine includes cross-product and cross-data functionalities. Now, you can report on any Aha! data object. This includes building a List Table or Pivot Table from over 100 metrics in Aha! including Strategy; Releases; Ideas; Features; To-dos; and custom fields.

Reports Timeline The new Reports Timeline gives you a powerful way to plot key activities on a timeline. You already have this information in Aha! Now, you can quickly build beautiful timelines for your Goals; Initiatives; Releases; Ideas; Features; Requirements; and To-dos across all of your products. Then, you can easily share your timelines with colleagues and other stakeholders using a secure Notebook or PDF.

Branded Idea Management Now, you have complete control over the way your Idea Portals and brand are presented — and how you communicate with customers during the ideation process. You can customize the look, feel, and language that is used in each portal. You can also customize the email notifications that your users receive. Having more control over the terminology and messages helps you tightly manage your branding from your own website or application through to your Idea Portals.

Features Templates Creating consistent features in Aha! is now as easy as clicking the (+) button and selecting Feature from the drop-down menu. You can now specify a template for the description of a feature or requirement to drive consistency in how features are defined. Now, each new feature and requirement in Aha! has a consistent set of details when it is created by someone on your team. The template you create will pre-fill every time a new record is created.

Virus Scanning We know your strategy and roadmaps are critical to you and your business — and we take protecting them seriously. Aha! gives you a single place to store all your product files and documents. Now, you can also be confident that files uploaded to Aha! are instantly scanned for malware or viruses. This is the newest security feature that has been added to our popular Enterprise+ plan.

It humbles us to hear how much you love Aha! — and, most importantly, how Aha! helps you build better products.

Is there even more that we can do? Use the Aha! Ideas portal to share your best ideas with the team. We review new ideas each week, and prioritize the best ones on our product roadmap.

Signup for a free Aha! trial — be happy If you are not already an Aha! customer, you may want to sign up for a free 30 day trial of Aha! now to see why over 30,000 users trust Aha! to set product strategy, create visual roadmaps, and prioritize releases and features.
