Import PDFs into your Aha! account
You are deep into planning a new feature and the team needs to reference a key user research report. But the PDF is buried — lost in a tangle of emails, file storage systems, and legacy tools. It is hard to keep momentum going when critical information is scattered. Today's update helps you bring everything together in one place.
Now, you can import PDFs into your Aha! account with the rest of your product documentation.
You can already create new documents and whiteboards in the Knowledge section of your workspace. Plus, you can import existing content from tools like Microsoft Word, Confluence, and Miro. Today's update makes it possible to import PDFs. This is especially useful for referencing documents that are not meant to be widely edited — such as research, agreements, forms, or third-party support materials.
There are two ways to get started. Go to the Add menu in your documents list and select Link or file. Or go to Import documents in your Workspace settings to upload PDFs in bulk. Imported files appear at the bottom of your document hierarchy, ready to be organized into folders or added to a knowledge base.
In the example below, we upload a partnership one-pager to our Aha! account for Fredwin Cycling, a fictitious cycling app. Because it needs to retain its layout and be shared externally with vendors, a PDF is the right format.
When you import PDFs with folders, their folder structure will be preserved in your Aha! account.
Now, we can add the page to our internal knowledge base so teammates can easily access it. We can then share it with partners via an external knowledge base.
A small change can have a massive impact on your workflow. Store PDFs alongside other documents and whiteboards so teammates can find what they need faster.
We hope this update helps you centralize even more product and related team information. PDF import is available in all Aha! accounts — give it a try and let us know how it helps.
