Add roadmaps and reports to a whiteboard

by Claire George

You deserve a purpose-built whiteboard tool designed for product managers. We recently shared the difference this makes, especially as it relates to exploring and refining product plans. A major benefit is the ability to highlight key existing information on a whiteboard — so you can solicit feedback from stakeholders. Today's update makes this easier than ever.

Add views of roadmaps, reports, and more on a whiteboard so you can reference planning data while exploring new concepts.

You can already add nearly any view in Aha! Roadmaps, Aha! Ideas, and Aha! Develop to a whiteboard as an image. You can also export list reports and pivot tables as records and move the cards around as you refine plans and priorities. Today's update introduces a new option: the ability to embed a view directly into your whiteboard.

To get started, navigate to the roadmap, report, or view that you want to include. Then, click Add to whiteboard as view in the More menu and select an existing whiteboard or create a new one. From here, you can easily move and resize the view to your liking. Select the view and click Open view in new tab or double-click to interact with it on the whiteboard — scrolling and opening up record details as needed.

In the example below, we are creating a draft of our roadmap for the next half of the year to review with the broader team. We used the strategic roadmap template to lay out the timing. Then, we embedded a prioritization view from Aha! Roadmaps to highlight the top features that we already agreed on. We can now share the whiteboard to get feedback on the timing of our plans.

Refresh your whiteboard to see the latest data in your embedded view.

Showcase existing plans alongside fresh discoveries.

Adding existing views to whiteboards is a great way to share information in a collaborative space. For instance, you can pull in a features roadmap that the team can reference and get feedback from sales and support teams. Or add reports to a frame so you can present it as part of an informal presentation. We do hope that today's update helps you bring your product plans and story to life.
