Connect customer quotes and learnings to your roadmap with Aha! Discovery

"Who actually wants this?" An executive cuts in as you pitch a new feature. Uh oh. You thought the need was obvious. You recall customers mentioning it during interviews. But do you have the evidence to back it up?

Document customer evidence to show exactly why your plans matter. You can now link highlights from interviews in Aha! Discovery — including customer quotes and AI-generated learnings — directly to records in Aha! Roadmaps.

We recently launched Aha! Discovery: the new way to manage interviews. Product, research, and UX teams are already using it to capture real customer needs. The capability everyone is talking about? Linking insights directly to your product plans in Aha! Roadmaps, so every decision is grounded in customer evidence. (Request a demo to see how it works.)

You could already link transcript snippets and insight reports directly to initiatives, features, and ideas. Today's update expands this to interview highlights — the panel next to your transcript where you capture key learnings, quotes, and answers. Now you can link these highlights to existing Aha! records or use them to create new ones, giving you even more ways to validate your plans.

Here's how:

Say we just wrapped up a research study in Aha! Discovery. We want to connect what we heard to our roadmap. The AI assistant helps us quickly surface relevant learnings. One AI-generated learning directly supports a new feature for our fictitious fitness app — so we accept it and link it. That sparks a memory of a related quote, so we capture it and link it too.

You can also pull highlighted learnings and quotes from interviews into an insights report.

See customer evidence on your roadmap

Let's switch to Aha! Roadmaps. Here we can view all the highlights we linked in the feature's Research tab. Now everyone working on the feature can see exactly how our customers describe their challenges — with a direct path back to the original quote for full context.

Clicking an interview highlight from the Research tab opens its exact location in the transcript.

Customer insights become truly powerful when they are accessible — so make sure to connect them to your actual plans.

The best product decisions are grounded in real customer needs. By bringing customer evidence directly into your planning process, you validate what you are building and help the team move forward with confidence. This new functionality is available to individual Aha! Discovery add-on users and upgraded Aha! Roadmaps users with Aha! Roadmaps and Aha! Discovery Advanced.
