Aha! Launches New Product Management Fundamentals Class

by Brian de Haaff

Our vision at Aha! is to help create a world of lovable software built by happy teams. Over the years, we have helped thousands of teams build better products, deliver amazing customer experiences, and enjoy the process.

I am incredibly proud that Aha! is the most respected name in product management. More than 400,000 people use our software every day to build products their customers love. And as we have grown, more and more people have approached us to share what we know. It is why we developed Aha! Academy, which now offers free online tutorials as well as a fee-based Aha! Certification class.

We are excited to announce a new Product Management Fundamentals class that is taught online by our product experts.

To understand why a high-growth software company like Aha! started offering training, we need to go back in time. We pioneered the concept of the Minimum Lovable Product back in 2013 and have been practicing it ever since. From publishing our 2017 bestselling book Lovability to the extensive Aha! product management guide, we love sharing our learnings and best practices.

And this is what makes our perspective and product management curriculum unique — we actually build software.

Our new class is ideal for aspiring product managers and those who want to expand their skills. Attendees will enjoy hands-on lessons with experts from our Customer Success team. These are truly product pros — each team member brings deep product knowledge and real-world perspective. Collectively, they have more than 250 years of experience and have managed hundreds of products.

So what can you expect in the Product Management Fundamentals class? We designed it to deeply explore the most essential topics so that you can quickly accelerate towards a product management role or develop additional areas of key knowledge. The class is taught over two days and covers the following areas:

Set strategy

  • Establish a vision to drive your product forward

  • Go goal-first and create a red thread of strategy

  • Define personas to encourage empathy across the team

  • Use positioning to articulate the market problems your product solves

Develop customer empathy

  • Understand the importance of empathy in product management

  • Discover different methods for collecting ideas and feedback

  • Gain insight on how to conduct effective empathy sessions

  • Learn how to validate if your insights are right (or not)

Prioritize features

  • Shift from a Minimum Viable Product to a Minimum Lovable Product mindset

  • Optimize each element of the customer’s experience to create lasting joy

  • Help your team release on time

  • Define the right marketing mix to promote your product

Create visual roadmaps

  • Leverage user story mapping to visually tell the story of your customer’s journey

  • Craft the perfect roadmaps for every audience

  • Get your customer-facing teams ready to drive product adoption

  • Report on your product and team’s success against key metrics

Reserve your place in the next Product Management Fundamentals class (October 13 and 14, 2020) and benefit from being trained by Aha!

We limit the class to 20 people to encourage lots of hands-on learning and collaboration. You will receive a completion award and join the Aha! Academy alumni networks. The cost is $2,390 per person. We also offer a discount for people who have been historically underrepresented in software and are directly paying for the class. Find out more about this class and everything we offer by visiting Aha! Academy.
