A bold new look for competitor profiles

by Claire George

Who is competing for your customers' attention? And why should potential customers select you? A healthy understanding of the competitive landscape helps you differentiate your product and deliver greater value to customers. This is why so many of you document information on competing solutions in Aha! Roadmaps.

Capture competitor details and easily share insights with the team — now with an updated layout and inline editing.

Competitor profiles give you a dedicated place to share what you know about alternatives to your product, including their pricing, positioning, and company size. Today's update makes competitor profiles easier to absorb and edit so you can better communicate competitor information. (We recently made a similar update to persona cards.)

The new competitor page layout is designed to help you locate key information fast. Larger font sizes and increased contrast also improve profiles' readability. And new inline editing makes it easier to update information and keep your competitor profiles fresh. The new styling has been automatically applied to all existing competitor cards in Aha! Roadmaps.

Head to the Strategy tab to create a new competitor profile. In the example below, we included the competitor's revenue, customer count, and growth rate to give the team context on scale and market adoption. Then, we used the AI writing assistant to draft a company description, which we quickly edited based on our market knowledge. Our new competitor profile is now ready to share with the broader team to help inform strategic planning and prioritize what to build next.

Give multiple teams access to shared competitor information by setting competitor profiles at the workspace line level.

Centralize competitor profiles to share critical information with the broader team so you can make informed decisions.

Building a successful offering requires a deep understanding of the other solutions available to your customers. Share your insights by documenting competitor information in Aha! Roadmaps. And use that information in presentations, whiteboards, and more. We hope these updates help you keep the team informed about alternative offerings in your market.
