Just Launched! — Crop Images in Aha! Presentations

by Claire George

The entire Aha! team meets weekly. We get everyone together to share progress on initiatives and show off what is new. Since we are an entirely distributed company, we meet over video. And of course, we use Aha! presentations. I always love seeing each team’s updates — and the visual creativity. But until today, there was not a way to edit images to get the perfect look.

You can now crop and change the shape of images in the slide editor.

Adding images is a great way to liven up your Aha! presentations. You could already format images — from sizing to styling with borders. But often you want to crop an image or change its shape to better fit your slide layout. Now you can.

Here are the new options:

Crop images Select an image. You will notice the new crop option in the arrange tab. Use it to trim the edges and focus on exactly what you want to show. You can always reset the image back to its original state.

Presentations default to a locked aspect ratio, so you can resize images without distorting them.

Change the shape You can also crop images into circles or rectangles. Here, we included team headshots and used the circle crop to create an avatar-style layout.

Share your presentation as a secure webpage or PDF.

Polish your presentation with exactly the right crop and shape.

As for what to include in the actual presentation? Well, we can help you there too.
