How we improved accountability and transparency across product development

We had a problem

Our Product Operations team supports the full product development lifecycle — from roadmapping and prioritization to release coordination and cross-functional communication. We ensure plans are shared, risks are flagged, and commercial teams are ready for launches. We also manage customer feedback to inform product decisions.

We had well-established processes for planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication that were built on structured trackers and regularly published roadmaps and status reports. However, as our product and organization grew, keeping that structure current required more manual effort.

We saw an opportunity to scale what was already working. Product Development wanted to spend less time maintaining information and more time shaping strategy. Leadership would benefit from a live view of progress. And Sales and Customer Success would be even better prepared with real-time visibility into upcoming releases.

Aha! as a solution

Aha! Roadmaps gives us one place to capture feedback, manage the roadmap, and share plans. Our organization now collects and votes on customer requests in an ideas portal, which helps us prioritize what to build. The Product and IT teams track development progress via the features workflow board using the Azure DevOps integration. This keeps roadmap and delivery data in sync.

Aha! Roadmaps has become our single source of truth: one place where the roadmap, priorities, and progress all live.

We autogenerate customized roadmaps and reports tailored to different audiences. Our commercial teams view upcoming launches on a Now, Next, Later roadmap to better prepare for customer conversations. We also have list reports to track bugs that require development, recently shipped features, and more. We appreciate that they will always reflect the latest information — even as priorities change.

Life is good

Aha! Roadmaps has allowed Product Operations to automate much of the planning and reporting work. We can quickly answer questions and point stakeholders to live information. We also have more time to focus on higher-value work: analyzing feedback, identifying risks, and shaping the roadmap.

We already had solid processes in place, and Aha! Roadmaps gave us the platform to scale them. Our team can now dedicate more time to strategy.

This shift has also strengthened accountability and clarity across every phase of our product development process. We can spot capacity constraints and dependency risks earlier, before they become deadline problems. Leadership can see the "State of the Union" on demand. And the roadmap is even better informed by customer ideas, with a shorter feedback loop between commercial teams and Product. Aha! Roadmaps has helped us take the structure we built and make it scale with our growth.
