Our team

The Senior Corporate Counsel position is part of the G&A team and reports directly to our VP of finance and operations. It is a part-time, in-house role for someone who wants to work for one company.

We work within North American time zones so we can easily meet live on video and achieve more together.

Your experience

You are a business-minded attorney who has a passion for regulatory, privacy, and employment matters. You work hard and have a history of making a positive impact. You thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth technology company. You are happiest when you are working directly with a team of high achievers like yourself. You also have:

  • A successful track record as an attorney in good standing, licensed in the state you live in

  • 3+ years of experience working for a large law firm

  • 3+ years of experience working in-house at a high-growth technology company (preferably SaaS)

  • Overseen multiple legal disciplines (e.g. contracts, regulatory, privacy, employment) at the same time

  • An excellent privacy law domain knowledge and interest

  • Worked directly with internal teams and enterprise customers

  • The desire to seek harmony between pursuing growth and managing risk

  • A "can do" attitude and a history of delivering superb work again and again

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • A JD degree from an accredited law school


Your work at Aha!

This is a remote, part-time role of approximately 20 hours per week. As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will oversee all legal matters at Aha!, providing advice on compliance issues, privacy matters, contract negotiations, and any future disputes. You will collaborate with functional leaders and the executive team to use and update our legal playbook. You will also draft legal documents and review contracts to ensure they meet all regulatory guidelines. If it is ever necessary, you will also coordinate with outside counsel.

In this position, your responsibilities will also include:

  • Offering the company legal advice in a variety of areas

  • Monitoring regulatory and privacy related changes to the law

  • Managing our existing legal playbook and processes

  • Drafting legal documents, including amendments

  • Monitoring our activities for compliance issues

  • Communicating with customers on legal matters

  • The base salary range for this part-time role in the US is between $90,000 and $125,000

  • Cash-based compensation also includes profit sharing and we contribute a percentage of your total pay each month towards your retirement

  • Up to 100 hours of paid time off a year to spend however you want

  • 30 to 90 days of paid parental leave and five to 10 days of paid care and bereavement leave

  • Up to $1,000 annually for third-party education, along with paid time off to immerse yourself in learning

  • Volunteer opportunities throughout the year

  • Base salary and total compensation are dependent upon many factors, such as: skills, experience, and relevant past roles
