Aha! Wins Prestigious “Company of The Year” Stevie Award

by Brian de Haaff

We are building a different kind of technology company at Aha! No venture funding, no offices, and no salespeople. A company that has been highly profitable from the start. We are proud of the value that we have created for customers and the team. And it fills us with gratitude when others recognize this as well.

This is why I am thrilled to announce that Aha! has been named Company of the Year in the Stevie Awards’ 2018 American Business Awards (ABAs).

The ABAs are one of the premier American business awards for achievement in the workplace. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes, in virtually every industry, were submitted for consideration this year in a wide range of categories. Aha! was given the highest award distinction — the “Gold Stevie” — in our category of medium-sized computer software companies.

The awards judges agreed that Aha! is changing the way companies innovate and build products. Thousands of innovative companies — from startups to the Fortune 500, including LinkedIn, Dell, AAA, Siemens, TIBCO, and Swarovski — rely on Aha! to help set brilliant company and product strategy, capture ideas, and create visual roadmaps.

Customers have used our enterprise software to create and manage more than 800,000 strategic goals, 1 million product releases, 6 million features, and to capture more than 2.5 million ideas from their employees, customers, and partners. Aha! is now one of the fastest-growing software companies in the U.S.

With pride, I can say that our breakthrough success defies the traditional “rules” for building a high-growth, billion-dollar software company. We take a human-centered approach to the way we operate, consistent with the time-tested values of our grandparents and the way they did business. Our focus is on relationships, quality, and meaningful growth for everyone we work with.

We believe that it is because of our human-centered approach to business that Aha! has grown so quickly and just received the Company of the Year distinction.

Here is what some of the awards judges had to say:

“Impressive and revolutionary. Keep up the good work.”

“Well done, Aha! Who said you must be venture capitalist funded. When you are self-funded, your pocket is always in diminishing pains as you strive to grow. Becoming highly profitable with no salespeople and just a decentralized team of 70 teammates in 58 cities worldwide is a class act.”

“Aha!’s approach to deal with a universal old problem is unique and very refreshing.”

As I have written in the past, we believe in having the courage to do what is right and pursuing perfect moments. This award is absolutely a perfect moment for the Aha! team. Our hard work, dedication, and responsiveness have paid off. We look forward to going from strength to strength and creating even more value for customers and the company moving forward.
